If you didn’t know by now, it’s festival season. And today, we were told about a brand new festival taking place in California.
Named after the beloved song by The Cure, Just Like Heaven Festival is a brand new festival created by Coachella’s producers Goldenvoice. The lineup shows a mixture of old school alternative and indie acts with current faves in the genres. MGMT, Beach House, Phoenix, and Yeah Yeah Yeahs will headline the inaugural event along with acts like Washed Out, Peter Bjorn And John, Tennis, Shiny Toy Guns, Grizzly Bear, She Wants Revenge, The Faint, Neon Indian, Miami Horror, and Passion Pit, who’ll be playing their debut album Manners in full.
Just Like Heaven Festival takes place Saturday, May 4, in Long Beach, Calif., in Queen Mary Park. Passes for the festival go on sale Friday, February 8, at 10 a.m.
