Hardcore legends Backtrack are calling it quits after 11 years.
The Long Island quintet broke the news earlier today, showing a spray painted wall with the words “RIP BACKTRACK 2008-2019.” The group wrote a short statement, saying, “We appreciate everyone who has shown this band love over the past 11 years. Thanks to anyone who has supported us along the way and we look forward to seeing you one last time.”
Backtrack will be doing a farewell world tour starting next month. Check out the dates below.
The band formed in 2008 and released three albums, two of them with Bridge 9 Records (BoySetsFire, H2O, War On Women.) Their last record was 2017’s Bad To My World. They’ve toured with Terror, Bane, Madball, Every Time I Die, and Comeback Kid, and appeared at festivals such as Vainstream Rockfest 2016 (Attila, Flogging Molly, Thy Art Is Murder,) Jera On Air 2016 (Beartooth, Deez Nuts, Pennywise,) Montebello Rockfest 2017 (311, Good Charlotte, Queens Of The Stone Age,) So What?! Music Festival 2017 (CHON, Fit For An Autopsy, Set Your Goals,) and Outbreak Fest 2019 (Defeater, Jesus Piece, Such Gold.)
