Taking Back Sunday Added To When We Were Young 2024

Our prayers have been answered!

Emo legends Taking Back Sunday were officially added to the bill for this years When We Were Young in Las Vegas this October on Tuesday evening. With this year’s theme being full album playthroughs, the Long Island act will be playing their debut Tell All Your Friends. The record which came out in 2002 through now-defunct label Victory Records (1997, Electric Frankenstein, Secret Lives! Of The Freemasons) launched TBS and features some of their most beloved tracks like “Cute Without The ‘E’ (Cut From The Team),” “You’re So Last Summer” and “Timberwolves At New Jersey”.

A few months ago, fans noticed the cover of Tell All Your Friends on the official festival poster in October. The band was set to play at the festival, but the announcement was delayed because of a contract they had with Coachella. Coachella had also announced that TBS would be playing in April on the same day they were announced for WWWY. TBS are also performing at Bonnaroo this June. They’ll be on tour this summer alongside WWWY veterans Citizen.

When We Were Young announced 2024’s lineup days after 2023’s festival wrapped up. Headlining are My Chemical Romance (performing The Black Parade) and Fall Out Boy, with additional performances from Pretty Girls Make Graves, Jimmy Eat World, Chiodos, The Distillers, Motion City Soundtrack, Atreyu, The Forecast, A Day To Remember, Cobra Starship, Against The Current, and many more. Check out the lineup below.

WWWY 2024 takes place Saturday, October 19 and Sunday, October 20 at the Las Vegas Festival Grounds. Tickets for day 2 are available here.
