Awaken I Am Release New Music Video, Announce Reddit AMA

Australian post-hardcore group Awaken I Am have unveiled their music video for “Kin“, the first video from their upcoming EP The Beauty In Tragedy. The EP is a tribute to former guitarist Connor Verner-Oakley who passed away last May.

When asked about the meaning behind the track, drummer Luke McKenzie said, “What would you say to someone who took a loved one from you if you had the chance? Part of dealing with the loss of our brother Connor was coming to terms that he was taken from us far too soon and the anger stemming from that. ‘Kin’ was our chance to bring those emotions to the surface and say what we needed towards the responsible party.”

Awaken I Am will also be hosting a public Reddit “Ask Me Anything” on Monday, March 18, on the r/PostHardcore subreddit. The band’s AMA will start at 7 p.m. EST.

The Beauty In Tragedy comes out April 26 via Victory Records (Abandoned By Bears, Don’t Sleep, Wretched).

Awaken I Am will start their tour with Slaves next Thursday with Slaves in the band’s native country and will hit the states next month as they support SECRETS on their anniversary tour for Fragile Figures. Check out the tour dates below.

Broadside And With Confidence Reveal Co-Headlining Tour

Broadside And With Confidence Reveal Co-Headlining Tour

Two of pop-punk’s finest groups will be hitting the road this fall together.

Broadside and With Confidence have unveiled a fall tour called the Love And Loathing In Paradise Tour, named after Broadside’s newest album Paradise which dropped last summer on Victory Records (Abandoned By Bears, Darkness Divided, Wretched) and With Confidence’s newest album Love And Loathing which dropped earlier this month on Hopeless Records (Between You & Me, Super Whatevr, The Wonder Years). Joining them will be Chicago based pop-punk acts Sleep On It and Small Talks.

“We met With Confidence at the 2016 Warped Tour, where we both played the Full Sail stage, and again in 2017 on our first ever tour of the UK. And we hooked up again on this year’s final Warped sharing the Owly.FM stage. I don’t know the names of all the stages we are about to play this Nov/Dec but we are excited to not be drenched in sweat together! We miss our fans and we’re looking forward to playing some cities we have not been to in a while. This tour is going to be wild, we are excited to play with some of our good friends!” Broadside’s vocalist Ollie Baxxter proclaimed.

All four bands on this tour played Warped Tour this summer with Broadside, With Confidence, and Sleep On It playing on the Owly.FM Stage along with Assuming We Survive, Don Broco, and YUNGBLUD. Small Talks played for three dates on the tour on the Full Sail Stage with Beebs And Her Money Makers, Home Seeker, and Limbs.
