Emo hip-hop quartet L.I.F.T have made an update on regards of allegations made against members of the group. In a statement posted to their now locked Instagram account, the former Prenatt’s Picks quartet said that they are “planning something big, and we have decided that we are going to tackle things differently.”

“People and society are sick to a lot of people, war is peace, ignorance is bliss and freedom is slavery.
The fact that a person can make up whatever they want and ruin innocent people’s lives disgusts us. We live in a time where people no longer value the truth, and it’s incredibly dangerous. It’s a time that there is a change in society. There can only be as much good as there is bad, but we never anticipated that the negative energy of the world would go this far to combat the positivity we are trying to bring. We are going to continue to bring our light knowing we are doing the right thing. We believe in our message and this family. In the meantime, this account will be private and available to family members only. We are planning something big, and we have decided that we are going to tackle things differently. It’s time we approach issues way more head on and fight even harder for this family. Be patient and just know we love all of you and together we can make a difference in this world. Reply ‘dead 30’ if you are with us.”
L.I.F.T have since private their Instagram. The above statement was posted by Alternative Press.
Earlier in the week, Set It Off kicked the band off their tour following “sexist” allegations. These allegations are also why the band were booted off the whole Sad Summer Fest happening later this summer alongside The Wonder Years, Mom Jeans., and Four Year Strong.
Set It Off simply wrote in a statement, ““After allegations and stories were brought to our attention by our fans, we have made the decision to remove L.I.F.T from our upcoming headline tour. Having a safe and fun environment at all of our shows is a top priority for us and something we take seriously. We believe that it is important for every voice to be heard and we support that notion wholeheartedly. We promise we will always listen.”
Sad Summer Fest also made one, reading, “In light of developing allegations, L.I.F.T will no longer be appearing on Sad Summer Fest 2019. We are looking forward to bringing the positive vibes and making the first year of Sad Summer Fest one to remember!”
The allegations were first brought to light by Twitter user @caligazes who said that L.I.F.T are “sexist” and “assholes”, further elaborating that the band “have touched people inappropriately (like grabbing their butts while meeting them) w/out consent.” She also shared other posts made by others accusing the band.
