The first act is the Illinois based pop-punk band Belmont. The quintet announced the news on Monday with the reveal of a new song called “By My Side”. Check out the video here.

Don’t Sleep Sign To Victory Records

Don’t Sleep Sign To Victory Records

D.C. hardcore group Don’t Sleep have signed to Chicago based record label Victory Records, the home of artists like Dead Girls Academy, Broadside, and We Were Sharks.

Don’t Sleep formed in 2017 and are made up of bassist Garrett Rothman, guitarists Tom McGrath, Tony Bavaria, Jim Bedorf on drums, and Dave Smalley on vocals. If his name sounds familiar, that’s because Smalley has been in bands like Dag Nasty, DYS, Down By Law, and ALL. They’ve done shows with Face To Face, Shelter, The Menzingers, Iron Chic, Madball, and Sick Of It All, and played on the final Vans Warped Tour last year in Columbia, Md. on the Full Sail University Stage.

“Victory Records has played such an integral role in the evolution of hardcore,” Smalley said in a press release. While Don’t Sleep is a new project, we all came up in the old school and have mad respect for the history of Victory Records. After talking with Tony (Brummel, Victory founder) over the course of last year, we realized that he really connected with our vision for Don’t Sleep and we honestly couldn’t think of a better fit for this band. We’re honored and humbled to be working with such an amazing label and unbelievably excited to be part of their family.”

So far the quintet have released two EPs, being 2017’s self-tilted and 2018’s Bring The Light. They’re currently in the studio working on their debut full-length produced by Grammy nominated producers Carson Slovak and Grant McFarland (August Burns Red, From Ashes To New, Summer Scouts).
