Yellowcard, The Academy Is…, Misfits, More To Play Riot Fest 2022

Earlier this morning, Chicago’s beloved music festival Riot Fest announced its 2022 lineup. The festival will run from Friday, September 16, to Sunday, September 18. Headlining the late summer festival are reunited emo gods My Chemical Romance (Friday), punk legends the Misfits performing Walk Among Us in full (Saturday), and 90s industrial rock duo Nine Inch Nails (Sunday). Friday’s lineup will feature acts like Alkaline Trio, Portugal. The Man, Bleachers, The Wonder Years, and Bob Vylan, playing their first show in the United States. Saturday will feature bands such as Yellowcard (playing their first show since breaking up in 2017), Sunny Day Real Estate, Bad Religion, The Menzingers, and War On Women. Sunday will include other groups like The Academy Is… (their first show since 2017), Ice Cube, Jimmy Eat World, Midtown, and The Bombpops. Check out the lineup below.

Riot Fest first took place in 2005 and has been running on strong until COVID-19 cancelled 2020’s festivities. Artists who’ve played in the past include The Suicide Machines, Flatfoot 56, The Casualties, TSOL, Butthole Surfers, High On Fire, Smoking Popes, A Day To Remember, Fall Out Boy, Tegan And Sara, System Of A Down, Rob Zombie, Paramore, Beck, The Raconteurs, and Sublime With Rome.

Jawbreaker, Less Than Jake, Teenage Bottlerocket, More To Play The FEST 18

Florida’s annual punk festival The FEST is back for FEST 18, featuring a stellar lineup of bands in the punk, rock, hardcore, and pop-punk genres.

Headlining the festival this year is Jawbreaker, Less Than Jake, a reunited Jawbox, Dag Nasty, Mariachi El Bronx, Off With Their Heads, AJJ, Iron Reagan, Joyce Manor, and Teenage Bottlerocket.

Others scheduled to perform include Brendan Kelly of The Lawrence Arms, Planes Mistaken For Stars, Tsunami Bomb Dikembe, Calicoco, Heartsounds, Go Betty Go, Lee Bains III + The Glory Fires, Tim Barry, and The Copyrights. 

International acts that are scheduled to play compromise of Überyou from Switzerland, S.M.N. from Japan, Sorry! We Are Silly from Italy, Good Friend from Ireland, Billy Liar from Scotland, DFMK from Mexico, Lone Wolf from the Netherlands, Forever Unclean from Denmark, Captain Asshole from Germany, and Eat Defeat from the UK.

This year’s FEST will take place from Friday, Novermber 1, to Sunday, November 3, in Gainesville, Fla..

The FEST began in 2002 and was created by Tony Weinbender, formerly of No Idea Records. Since then, bands like Against Me!, Big D And The Kids Table, Code Orange, Diarrhea Planet, The Ergs!, The Front Bottoms, The Gaslight Anthem, Hot Water Music, Into It. Over It., Jeff Rosenstock, Knapsack, La Dispute, Matt And Kim, Naked Raygun, Only Crime, PUP, Red City Radio, Snapcase, Tigers Jaw, United Nations, Valient Thorr, The World Is A Beautiful Place & I Am No Longer Afraid To Die, and You Blew It!, have performed.
