Vanilla Ice, Father John Misty, More To Perform At Canalside Live This Summer

Every summer at Canalside (44 Prime St.), several concerts are held there on Thursday nights (and two shows on a Friday and a Saturday), and this year is no different from the last.

The ten week concert series next to Key Bank Center will feature many well-known and upcoming acts performing, including 90s rapper Vanilla Ice, ska legends The Mighty Mighty Bosstones, Canadian punk group Headstones, neo soul/indie pop act Fitz & The Tantrums, and popular indie folk artist Father John Misty. Old school rappers Method Man and Redman will kick things off on June 7 and will conclude Friday, August 17 with The Mighty Mighty Bosstones.

Over the years, Canalside has hosted many free concerts, but that changed in 2016 due to T-Pain’s show which got out of hand. Bands that have played at Canalside over the many summers include Matt & Kim, Extreme, Frank Turner, Theory Of A Deadman, and many others.

Shows at Canalside will cost only $5 and according to Canalside’s website, tickets will be available “at all 17 WNY Consumer’s Beverages locations, at the Information Kiosk on the Boardwalk at Canalside and on www.eventbrite.com.”
