Dance Gavin Dance Announce Tenth Album “Jackpot Juicer”

Swanposting rejoice!

Dance Gavin Dance’s new album finally has a name, and a release date. The long-awaited tenth studio album from one of the biggest names in post-hardcore is titled Jackpot Juicer and it will be coming out July 29 on Rise Records (Covey, Knuckle Puck, Spiritbox).

Jackpot Juicer is the first album by the band to have them credited as a sextet since Acceptance Speech in 2013, with the promotion of touring guitarist Andrew Wells of Eidola to an official member of DGD. It is sadly the final studio album from the band to feature longtime bassist Tim Feerick who tragically passed away earlier this month from currently unknown causes. Produced by Kris Crummett (Alesana, Lower Definition, NOT A TOY), Jackpot Juicer features over 18 songs and with a jaw dropping runtime of 93 minutes, it is the band’s longest record to date.

Pre-orders are available now.

Merry Christmas!

To celebrate the holiday, Fearless Records (Eat Your Heart Out, Movements, The Word Alive,) unveiled the final artist for their 25th anniversary seven inch series: Starset.

The electronic rock quartet have released a 7″ record which features “Manifest” on side A, a track from their latest record Divisions, released back in September, and “Die For You” on side B, which was from their Fearless debut Vessels 2.0. You can purchase the record here. At the time of publishing, only 437 of the original 500 are left to buy.

Starset formed in 2013 after vocalist Dustin Bates’s previous band Downplay went on hiatus. The group are known for writing concept albums based on The Starset Society. Before joining Fearless, Starset released two albums on Razor & Tie. They signed with Fearless in early 2018 and dropped a deluxe edition of Vessels that same year and dropped their new record back in September. After joining Fearless, the group have performed with Islander, Nothing More, Evanescence, Atreyu, and Five Finger Death Punch.

11 down, one to go.

Fearless Records (Locket, Real Friends, The Word Alive) have revealed the eleventh entry in their 25th anniversary 7″ series. The new record is from Go Radio who recently reunited back in September and contains two songs, one of them being a brand new track.

The song is called “Say It Again” and it is the band’s first new track in seven years. You can listen to the song here. The 7″ features their hit “Goodnight Moon” on Side A and “Say It Again” on Side B. You can purchase the 7″ here.

Go Radio formed in 2007 shortly before frontman Jason Lancaster left his original band Mayday Parade. The band signed with Fearless in 2010, releasing one EP and two full-length albums. They’ve toured with Sparks The Rescue, Tonight Alive, Yellowcard, Paradise Fears, and Lancaster’s old band, Mayday Parade. They appeared on the Vans Warped Tour twice, playing in 2011 on the Nintendo 3DS stage with Every Avenue, Dance Gavin Dance, and I Set My Friends On Fire, and 2013 on the Tilly’s stage with Man Overboard, The Summer Set, and Allstar Weekend, and the Kia Forte stage with Chiodos, Sleeping With Sirens, and Bring Me The Horizon.

Defunct pop-rock group The Summer Set are the tenth band to release a special 7″ record for Fearless Records’s 25th anniversary series.

Fearless Records (The Almost, I Don’t Know How But They Found Me, Underoath) revealed the newest record in the series, which contains two tracks from The Summer Set’s 2013 album Legendary. The songs are “Boomerang” and “Lightning In A Bottle.”

You can purchase the vinyl record here, but be quick. At the time of publishing, only 469 copies remain in stock.

The Summer Set signed with Fearless Records in the summer of 2012, just a year after releasing their sophomore album Everything’s Fine on Razor & Tie (All That Remains, Devour The Day, Red Sun Rising,) which, as of 2018, operates as part of Fearless Records. During their time with Fearless, TSS released two albums, toured with We Are The In Crowd, Sleeping With Sirens, 3OH!3, Tonight Alive, and Paradise Fears, and played the Vans Warped Tour three times, in 2013 on the Tilly’s stage with Hawthorne Heights, Story Of The Year, and Man Overboard, 2014 on the Kia Electric Soul stage with The Devil Wears Prada, Mayday Parade, and We The Kings, and a few dates in 2016 on the Journeys Left Foot stage with Good Charlotte, New Found Glory, and Waka Flocka Flame.

Alternative Press wrote an article earlier this month on what the band is up to now since going on hiatus. Frontman Brian Dales created a solo project called DALES and dropped a new song called “Hands On You” last November. He also fronts The Dales Hotel, a cover band that has featured members of groups like 5 Seconds Of Summer, All Time Low, and The Friday Night Boys. Guitarist John Gomez and his brother bassist Stephen Gomez are currently in the band Twin XL. Guitarist John Montgomery is now a songwriter and wrote and produced Sophia Scott’s song “Drink Too Much Wine” earlier this year with the Gomez brothers. Drummer Jess Bowen has since become a touring drummer, working with 3OH!3 and Alice Glass, the former frontwoman of Crystal Castles. She’s also 1/3 of the supergroup Nekokat, which also features Jordan Witzigreuter of The Ready Set and Cameron Wright of Twin XL.

Previous bands who released records for the series include Plain White T’s, Pierce The Veil, Mayday Parade, The Maine, Sugarcult, Every AvenueI Prevail, Alesana, and Motionless In White.
