A Day To Remember Throw It Back With New Song “Resentment”

A Day To Remember Throw It Back With New Song “Resentment”

While we wait for A Day To Remember’s postponed seventh studio album You’re Welcome to come out sometime next year, the Ocala, Fla., group have given us a new song to tide us over until it’s released.

The track “Resentment” has the band going back to the What Separates Me From You era with a bone-shattering breakdown and vocalist Jeremy McKinnon growling like it was Homesick 2.0. You can download the track here.

“Resentment” is ADTR’s first new track since releasing “Degenerates,” the first single off of You’re Welcome, and a collaboration with EDM artist Marshmello a few months back.

The Summer Set To Release 7″ For Fearless Record’s 25th Anniversary

The Summer Set To Release 7″ For Fearless Record’s 25th Anniversary

Defunct pop-rock group The Summer Set are the tenth band to release a special 7″ record for Fearless Records’s 25th anniversary series.

Fearless Records (The Almost, I Don’t Know How But They Found Me, Underoath) revealed the newest record in the series, which contains two tracks from The Summer Set’s 2013 album Legendary. The songs are “Boomerang” and “Lightning In A Bottle.”

You can purchase the vinyl record here, but be quick. At the time of publishing, only 469 copies remain in stock.

The Summer Set signed with Fearless Records in the summer of 2012, just a year after releasing their sophomore album Everything’s Fine on Razor & Tie (All That Remains, Devour The Day, Red Sun Rising,) which, as of 2018, operates as part of Fearless Records. During their time with Fearless, TSS released two albums, toured with We Are The In Crowd, Sleeping With Sirens, 3OH!3, Tonight Alive, and Paradise Fears, and played the Vans Warped Tour three times, in 2013 on the Tilly’s stage with Hawthorne Heights, Story Of The Year, and Man Overboard, 2014 on the Kia Electric Soul stage with The Devil Wears Prada, Mayday Parade, and We The Kings, and a few dates in 2016 on the Journeys Left Foot stage with Good Charlotte, New Found Glory, and Waka Flocka Flame.

Alternative Press wrote an article earlier this month on what the band is up to now since going on hiatus. Frontman Brian Dales created a solo project called DALES and dropped a new song called “Hands On You” last November. He also fronts The Dales Hotel, a cover band that has featured members of groups like 5 Seconds Of Summer, All Time Low, and The Friday Night Boys. Guitarist John Gomez and his brother bassist Stephen Gomez are currently in the band Twin XL. Guitarist John Montgomery is now a songwriter and wrote and produced Sophia Scott’s song “Drink Too Much Wine” earlier this year with the Gomez brothers. Drummer Jess Bowen has since become a touring drummer, working with 3OH!3 and Alice Glass, the former frontwoman of Crystal Castles. She’s also 1/3 of the supergroup Nekokat, which also features Jordan Witzigreuter of The Ready Set and Cameron Wright of Twin XL.

Previous bands who released records for the series include Plain White T’s, Pierce The Veil, Mayday Parade, The Maine, Sugarcult, Every AvenueI Prevail, Alesana, and Motionless In White.

Metalcore act Motionless In White are the ninth band to drop a 7″ for their old label’s 25th anniversary.

The Scranton, Pa., quintet will be dropping a 7″ featuring classic tracks from their time on Fearless Records (As It Is, Locket, The Plot In You). The tracks on the record are “Reincarnate”, the title track from their third album of the same name, and an acoustic version of “Sinematic”, which comes from their sophomore album Infamous.

You can purchase the record right here, but buy it now. At the time of publishing, only 458 remain.

Motionless In White signed with Fearless in 2008 and released three albums with the label. The band made an announcement in 2016 that they were leaving Fearless and signed with rock label Roadrunner Records (Coheed And Cambria, KoЯn, Stone Sour). During their time with Fearless, MIW played the Vans Warped Tour seven times from 2008 to 2018 and toured with Slipknot, Lacuna Coil, A Day to Remember, In This Moment, and For Today. They released their new album Disguise back in June.
