After COVID-19 canceled last year’s Louder Than Life, the rock festival is planning on making 2021 its best year to date.

The Louisville, Ky., festival announced its lineup for 2021 earlier yesterday, unveiling that this year’s headliners are Korn, Snoop Dogg, Machine Gun Kelly, Cypress Hill, Staind, Jane’s Addiction, Mudvayne, Nine Inch Nails, Judas Priest, Rise Against, and Metallica who are performing two different sets. Others attending include Teenage Wrist, Beartooth, Escape The Fate, Killswitch Engage, The Blue Stones, Gojira, Ice Nine Kills, Spiritbox, The Distillers, Pennywise, The Hu, and From Ashes To New. Check out the full lineup below.

“[Promoter Danny Wimmer Presents] has always considered Louisville home, so to be able to bring America’s Biggest Rock Festival back in 2021 means everything to us,” the festival’s founder Danny Wimmer said in a statement. “After a year filled with challenge after challenge, we worked incredibly hard to curate a lineup worth the wait for our fans. Weather got in the way of Nine Inch Nails in 2018, the pandemic derailed our plans for two big Metallica sets in 2020 – so to have them both back for 2021, along with KORN and the rest of this incredible lineup over four days, that’s the kind of ‘new normal’ that we’re all looking forward to.”

Louder Than Life 2021 will be held at the Highland Festival Grounds at KY Expo Center on September 23 – 26. Tickets are available now.

The festival premiered in 2014 and has boasted a lineup of bands and artists including Stone Temple Pilots, Whiskey Myers, Being As An Ocean, Falling In Reverse, and Guns N’ Roses.

Depeche Mode, Whitney Houston, Nine Inch Nails, More Inducted Into Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame For 2020

Depeche Mode, Whitney Houston, Nine Inch Nails, More Inducted Into Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame For 2020

Here’s your inductees.

The Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame unveiled the bands and artists who will be inducted into their 2020 class. English electronic goths Depeche Mode, late R&B and soul singer Whitney Houston, glam-rockers T. Rex, 70’s rock group The Doobie Brothers, 90’s industrial rock act Nine Inch Nails, and late rapper The Notorious B.I.G., will be added this year, according to an announcement posted earlier today.

Several fan favorites like Dave Matthews Band, Judas Priest, Soundgarden, Pat Benatar, and Motörhead, were snubbed in the fan votes. Some are shocked that DMB weren’t added, with the Virginia based jam rock group getting over a million votes in the poll. The Doobie Brothers, who placed in third with 784,729 votes, got inducted. They were sandwiched between Pat Benatar and Soundgarden.

The Ahmet Ertegun Award, which is given out to, as Alternative Press puts it, “non-performers in ancillary fields including (but not limited to) industry executives, songwriters, producers, journalists and radio disc jockeys,” will have to recipients. Them being music critic and manager Jon Landau, who has worked with Bruce Springsteen, MC5, and Train, and Irving Azoff, chairman of Full Stop Management, who’s company works with Harry Styles, Charli XCX, and Travis Scott.

The 35th annual Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony will take place on Saturday, May 2, 2020 at Public Auditorium in Cleveland, Ohio. Tickets for the event go on sale to the public on February 27th at 10 a.m. ET at ticketmaster.com. Rock Hall members can get their tickets two days earlier.

Is The Next Punk Goes Album “Punk Goes 2000s”?

Is The Next Punk Goes Album “Punk Goes 2000s”?

Because honestly Fearless, if it’s another goddamn Punk Goes Pop album, I’m gonna scream.

An hour ago, Punk Goes updated their profile pictures and banners with a black on black logo. Not only that, the beloved music series released an image showing an away message with the lyrics to Mayday Parade’s “Three Cheers For Five Years” followed by “brb :]”. What does it all mean?

Could we actually be getting a new entry in the Punk Goes series this year? And could it possibly be about the 2000s? It seems like it.

No more info has been given out about the upcoming Punk Goes album. It will be the nineteenth album in the series.

The last album released in the series was Punk Goes Pop Vol. 7 in 2017. It featured artists like The Amity Affliction, Grayscale, Seaway, Dance Gavin Dance, and Eat Your Heart Out, covering people like Ed Sheeran, Drake, The Chainsmokers, Bruno Mars, and twenty one pilots.

Fearless Records (Get Scared, The Plot In You, Starset) created the first album in the Punk Goes series back in 2000 with Punk Goes Metal. That album had The Aquabats!, New Found Glory, Strung Out, AFI, and Rx Bandits, covering Metallica, Ozzy Osbourne, Slayer, AC/DC, and Judas Priest. Since then, there have been seventeen releases in the series, including Christmas90’sAcousticCrunk, and Classic Rock. Numerous bands like Yellowcard, Rise Against, Motion City Soundtrack, Gym Class Heroes, Jack’s Mannequin, The Devil Wears Prada, Chiodos, We The Kings, Miss May I, Sparks The Rescue, Sleeping With Sirens, Like Moths To Flames, Real Friends, Motionless In White, Upon A Burning Body, This Wild Life, and New Years Day, have appeared on various compilations.
