The British rock festival Download unveiled their third wave of acts for 2020 back in late January, and it’s better than ever.

Joining previously announced acts like System Of A Down, Iron Maiden, Daughtry, Of Mice & Men, BABYMETAL, Dying Fetus, PUP, Tiny Moving Parts, and Killswitch Engage, are Funeral For A Friend, The Menzingers, Lacuna Coil, Wage War, Thy Art Is Murder, Frank Carter & The Rattlesnakes, Alter Bridge, The Skints, Loathe, and Motionless In White. The second wave of artists for Download Festival 2020 has arrived. Hope you’re sitting down.

Joining alongside previously announced acts like KISS, Iron Maiden, The Offspring, Alestorm, and Daughtry, are bands such as Volbeat, BABYMETAL, Tiny Moving Parts, Dying Fetus, PUP, Chelsea Grin, Lit, Airbourne, Bush, and the return of The Pretty Reckless, who haven’t played a show in two years. Their show will mark the beginning of a new era for the rock band. They also started teasing their upcoming fourth album.

It’s a new decade for Download Festival, and they’re starting it off right.

The British rock festival announced the first wave of bands performing at next year’s festival. Headlining the first Download of the decade are legendary rock icons KISS for their final UK show, English heavy metal gods Iron Maiden, and Californian metal quartet System Of A Down. Others set to play include Daughtry, Of Mice & Men, KoЯn, Black Veil Brides, and Alestorm, to name a few. Check out the first wave below.

Download Festival 2020 takes place Friday, June 12, to Sunday, June 14, at Donington Park in Castle Donington, UK. Tickets go on sale this Wednesday at 2 p.m. on the festival’s website.

The festival started back in 2003 and has featured bands like Sepultura, Biffy Clyro, Every Time I Die, Alice In Chains, Papa Roach, The Fall Of Troy, A Day To Remember, Killswitch Engage, Linkin Park, Soundgarden, The Ghost Inside, Dying Fetus, Muse, Neck Deep, Four Year Strong, Greta Van Fleet, and Tool.

Canada’s greatest destination for rock and metal is back for its eleventh anniversary.

Earlier today, Heavy Montréal unveiled some of the lineup for this year’s festival. Headlining the two-day festival are Slayer, playing their final show in Québec, and Ghost. Others playing include Stick To Your Guns, Despised Icon, Cancer Bats, Skálmöld, Atreyu, Steel Panther, Knocked Loose, Terror, Galactic Empire, and FEVER 333, to name a few.

Heavy Montréal first started in 2008 but took a year off in 2009. The festival originally went under the name Heavy MTL but changed it to its current name in 2014. Bands who’ve played the festival in the past include Dethklok, Norma Jean, Kiss, IWRESTLEDABEARONCE, A Day To Remember, Dropkick Murphys, Glassjaw, The Dillinger Escape Plan, and Alestorm.
