Beloved rock troupe Incubus are the first act officially announced to appear at this year’s Canalside Live summer shows.
Canalside made the announcement on their website, saying that the show will take place Tuesday, August 6 at 5 p.m. Tickets will be available by May and can be purchased at any of the 17 WNY Consumers Beverages locations and at Canalside’s Boardwalk. Eventbrite will also have standard and VIP tickets available.
No word on who else will be performing this summer or when they’ll announce more acts. However, The Struts might be playing at Canalside Live during the summer since Rolling Stone revealed back in February that the band will be playing there on July 25 with The Glorious Sons.
Concerts at Canalside first started in 2014, with bands and artists like Vanilla Ice, Theory Of A Deadman, Public Enemy, Spoon, July Talk, and Halestorm, performing. Prior to these shows, Buffalo had another summer concert series that took place at Larkin Square called Thursday At The Square, which ran from 1991 to 2011. Bands who performed at Thursday At The Square include The Mamas & The Papas, The Guess Who, Goo Goo Dolls, Nik And The Nice Guys, 10,000 Maniacs, Three Dog Night, Echo & The Bunnymen, Squeeze, Reverend Horton Heat, Sister Hazel, The Mighty Mighty Bosstones, Peter Frampton, Reel Big Fish, Gavin DeGraw, Hootie & The Blowfish, Smash Mouth, Dropkick Murphys, Gin Blossoms, Los Lonely Boys, Ozomatli, and Tokyo Police Club.
