Not even COVID-19 can kill Lolla.

On Tuesday, the Chicago based music festival stunned everyone when they revealed that Lollapalooza was still going down, but things are different this time around. Due to the coronavirus running rampant across the country, Lolla 2020 is going to be virtual, taking place Thursday, July 30, to Sunday, August 2, on YouTube. And yes, it’s gonna be free.

Jetty Bones Signs To Rise Records

Jetty Bones Signs To Rise Records

Whoa.

Singer-songwriter Kelc Galluzzo aka Jetty Bones has signed with Rise Records (Cane Hill, Issues, Memphis May Fire.)

The Ohio based musician broke the news today saying, “Growing up in my local scene, we used to have this saying that the dream was to ‘live in Ohio, start a band, then sign to Rise Records’. Well, 12 years later, I finally get to say that those teenage dreams are a reality: Jetty Bones has officially signed to Rise Records and will be putting out a full length record next year.”

To celebrate her signing, the label released a music video for the track “the part:” which comes from her latest EP , released earlier this year on Take This To Heart Records (Future Teens, McCafferty, Sarah And The Safe Word.)

Her old label even congratulated her on Twitter. “Stoked to have @jettybonesmusic sign to @riserecords . Home of great bands like PUP, Angels and Airwaves, At The Drive In and more,” the Wilbraham, Mass., label said.

She decided to also celebrate her signing with Rise by bringing up a fun memory with Angels And Airwaves’ frontman Tom DeLonge. “Hey @tomdelonge! In 2008 we met and you signed this giant version of your head. Now, we are label mates. That is all,” Galluzzo tweeted.

Jetty Bones formed in the late 2010s, releasing so far two EPs. The act has toured with The Wonder Years, The Early November, Homesafe, Knuckle Puck, and Tiny Moving Parts. Jetty Bones have played festivals such as Sad Summer Fest 2019 in Pittsburgh and Colombus, Ohio (Just Friends, Mom Jeans., State Champs,) New Direction Fest 8 (mewithoutYou, Tigers Jaw, Youth Fountain,) Bled Fest 2018 (Foxing, Norma Jean, shortly,) and New Found Glory’s BreakFest 2019 with Mae, Hawthorne Heights, and Microwave. The band was also a part of Prenatt’s Picks 2018 alongside The Plot In You, Dead Girls Academy, and lovelytheband.

What’s special about the event is that Buffalo’s finest Every Time I Die will be playing their second studio album Hot Damn! in full with other hits. Hot Damn! was released back in 2003 and features songs like “Floater”, “Ebolarama” and “Romeo A Go-Go”. “Hot Damn! has always been the one that put us on people’s radars and it was the one that was out the first time we came to the UK, so that’s a nice little throwback,” vocalist Keith Buckley told Flick Of The Finger. “When festivals are able to do something like this and get such a diverse line-up and secure a venue outdoors, it feels like something big. When you’re going to one of these as a fan of music and your whole surroundings feel so much larger than life it makes you want to enjoy the music. It makes you really open to hearing new bands. You’re going to need these festivals, whether it’s to feed a fanbase or to make one. So, I think it’s extremely important for the scene.”

This year’s festival will take place Thursday, July 11 through Saturday, July 13. The event will take place at it’s usual location at Upcote Farm in Withington, Gloucestershire, UK. Tickets are available now on the festival’s website. To keep up with more updates, check out their Twitter and Facebook pages.

2000trees was created back in 2007 and has groups and musicians like Frank Turner, The King Blues, Dananananaykroyd, Bombay Bicycle Club, Los Campesinos!, Gallows, Funeral For A Friend, The Bronx, Alkaline Trio, Refused, Beach Slang, and At The Drive-In perform.
